PlanetBach in motion

 

    The stony solidity of the Goldberg Variations (literally “golden mountain”) allows us to explore Bach’s cosmos with a proposal that combines string trio, dance and harmony singing in a premiere production. The Bach Universe will literally be set in motion in one of Cervera’s most unique heritage gems: the church of Sant Domènec.

A collaboration with the baroque string trio Meteor, the harmony singing choir MuOm and Emanuele Soavi Incompany.

Nora Sitges-Sardà, co-director and dancer of Contrapunctusdp, has been engaged at The Forsythe Company under the new artistic direction of Jacopo Godani for the season 16-17.

Contrapunctus takes part of the research lab "Capturing dance" organized by Nu2's Association in collaboration with L'animal a l'esquena and El Graner/Mercat de les Flors.

The directors that took part of the Laboratory are Francesc Sitges-Sardà, Elisabeth Prandi, Albert Vidal and Núria Font, with the choreographers Claudi Bombardó, Roberto Olivan, Àngels Margarit, María Muñoz and Pep Ramis. The four choreographies/fragments are "CAPRICIS" by Àngels Margarit/Mudances; 'A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS' by Enclave/Roberto Olivan; "IN A CHANGING LANSCAPE" by Claudi Bombardo/ Contrapunctusdp and “L’ESPERANÇA DE VIDA D’UNA LLEBRE” by Mal Pelo.

Claudi Bombardó, choreographer of CONTRAPUNCTUSdanceport, has collaborated with KArl Schreiner, the new director of the dance company of Gärtnerplatz Theater München, to create the installation INsomnia which took place last July 26th at the Schaustelle in Munich (Pinakotek der Modern).

On the 31st of May 2012 took place the presentation of the Barcelona's GREC Festival.
CONTRAPUNCTUS is now working on the new piece "Full Evening" that will take part of this festival at the venue Sala Pina Bausch from Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona on the 11, 12 and 13th of July.

RevolveR

Contrapunctus is working in collaboration with the companies movingtheatre.de from Cologne and k/a/sch ensemble from Austria to create a new choreographic project called RevolveR. It is a production of 4 pieces by Claudi Bombardó, Emanuele Soavi, Maximo Gerardi and Karl Schreiner framed all under one same concept, "exclusion and difference". The premiere will take place in Cologne and later the performance will be presented in Barcelona and in Vienna during the autumn of 2011.

ReOrganigrama. Performance at Fundació Tàpies

On Saturday 9 April 2011, Claudi Bombardó participates in the experimental program ReOrganigrama at the Tapies Foundation that included various activities around the exhibition "IbonAranberri. Organigrama". His participation, made ​​with the assistance of NoraSitges-Sardà, consisted on a performance with 14 dancers of the 5th year of Contemporary of the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and was held in the exhibition space D of the Foundation. ReOrganigrama has been designed by the Network of Combined Arts, a group of multidiciplinari volunteers external to the Foundation.

Claudi Bombardó and Nora Sitges-Sardà took part on the drama and movements workshops of Una fiesta para Boris, project. INTERFERÈNCIES

This summer the company CONTRAPUNCTUSdp will make a new video dance with the director Àlex Rademakers and the dancers Emanuele Soavi, Karl Schreiner and Nora Sitges-Sardà.
The choreography, inspired in the material of the last production, will be directed by Claudi Bombardó.
this dance video is part of the project INTERFERÈNCIES that is backed up by the school of cinema ESCAC, the Mercat de les Flors theatre and l'Estruch theatre from Sabadell.

PREMIERED

STILL HOUR -what was, what could have been or what will be...-" made the debut on the 10th of April of 2010 in the theatre L'Estruch of Sabadell.
On the 24th of April was presented at the Festival "movingtheatre meets friends" of Cologne, Germany.
Unfortunately, the situation of the theatres here in Catalonia is not too encouraging and it makes complicated the diffusion of the show in our territory. It has been tried to communicate with more than 20 programmers and curators, DVDs and explanatory dossiers of the piece have been sent but there has not been any answer. We expect that the things will change some day in this country and until then, it will be necessary to continue trusting, working and struggling for being there when this new future arrives...
Anyway, we want to thank to all that made possible the premiere andthe presentation of the show.
It was a success and, in spite of the difficulties of filling in the theatre a day of a Barça-Madrid match, the answer of a given public was optimal.
Thanks to everybody and especially to movingtheatre.de, k/a/sch and L'Estruch Theatre of Sabadell.

STILL HOUR

STILL HOUR is the new production of CONTRAPUNCTUSDANCEPORT, created in residence at L'Estruch Theatre, Sabadell-Barcelona.
The preview took place at the Malibran Theatre, Venice, the 6th of december 2009.
The oficial premiere will take place at the Estruch Theatre in Sabadell, Barcelona, the 10th of April 2010.

STILL HOUR is a piece for three dancers and for its creation, CONTRAPUNCTUS collaborates with the german company movingtheatre.de, Köln and k/a/sch ensemble from Wien.

CONTRAPUNCTUS dp has a residence in Estruch Theatre in Sabadell, Barcelona, to create its new production, STILL HOUR -what was, what could have been, what will be...-.
The premiere will be the 10th april 2010 in the same theatre and after will be presented in Köln (Germany) and Wien (Austria).
For this production, CONTRAPUNCTUS dp collaborates with movingtheatre.de from Köln and k/a/sch ensemble from Wien.

WORKSHOP WITH D.A.N.C.E.

Thanks to the XXI Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid's award, CONTRAPUNCTUSDANCEPORT was invited to give a workshop to the dancers of the company D.A.N.C.E. in Dresden, Germany.
Claudi Bombardó and Nora Sitges-Sardà worked for a week with the 15 dancers that take part of this European project.
Basing the process on the personal work of CONTRAPUNCTUS and through different composition tasks, a 12 minutes piece was created in which the dancers were able to experiment a new language, a new way to approach the physicality and group dynamics. At the same time, they were able to explore they own creative capacities through improvisation and an individual work to recreate, reconstruct and readapt the material that was proposed.
The result of this experience was very positive as well as the response of the dancers and the company's director himself.
